A NORTH-East house builder donated £1,000 to a local charity after one of its employees witnessed first-hand how hard they worked.
Barratt Developments North East made the donation after the charity was put forward by one of its employees whose neighbour dedicates her time to Cruse Bereavement Care.
Demand for support across all Cruse's services has been increasing as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and the donation is set to be used to provide immediate support to bereaved people.
Tracy Shutt, operation manager at Cruse Bereavement Care, said: "We are extremely grateful to Barratt Developments for their generous donation. This donation will help make a huge difference to all those who receive our support throughout the region.
Gill Hurst, sales manager at Barratt Homes Leven Woods development, said: "We’re so pleased that our donation to Cruse Bereavement Care will help them to support more people across the region. As soon as we heard about the incredible work that they do, we were really keen to help as they offer such vital care."
