POLICE are investigating after the body of a man was found in a graveyard.
North Yorkshire Police were called to Holy Trinity Church at the top of Skipton high street by the ambulance service, at around 1pm yesterday.
The male, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene in the churchyard.
Police said they did not believe there were any suspicious circumstances at this time and that there was no threat to the wider public.
Inquiries are continuing in the circumstance of the man's death. The coroner will be informed.
