RECENT cases at Teesside Magistrates’ Court include:

NICKY EVANS, 30, of Fremantle Crescent, Middlesbrough, has admitted to driving without insurance. He was fined £800, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £200 court costs. He also had six penalty points added to his licence.

MATTHEW JOHN LORD, 21, of Stockton Road, Hartlepool, admitted to breaking a window to the value of £160. He was fined £50, ordered to pay £160 compensation, £34 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs.

FENELLA HILL, 27, of Low Farm Drive, Redcar, was found guilty of driving without insurance. She was fined £470, with a £47 victim surcharge and £100 court costs. Her licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

PETER DAWSON, 48, of Hamilton Road, Stockton, admitted to being in possession of class A drugs. He was fined £140, with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

PAUL GEORGE THORPE, 45, of Dixon Street, Skelton, admitted to being in possession of class A drugs. He was fined £40, with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

DEBRA SEATON, 54, of Sandmoor Road, New Marske, was found guilty of having a Staffordshire bull terrier which was dangerously out of control. The court made an order for the dog to be destroyed unless an exemption is obtained within two months, because a police order on the dog was already in place and it wore a muzzle. She was fined £300, with £577.95 compensation, and £620 court costs.

OMAR KOHI, 37, of Kildare Street, Middlesbrough, was found guilty of assaulting a man in Middlesbrough in December 2019. He was given a 12 week curfew and order to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He was ordered to pay £300 compensation, and £300 court costs.

GARY STEVEN EVANS, 35, of Sidlaw Road, Billingham, admitted to causing damage to a car and to using threatening words or behaviour to its owner. He was given a six month conditional discharge from prison, ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs.

TANYA MARIE FORRESTER, 40, of Portman Street, Middlesbrough, admitted to driving while under the influence of drugs. She was fined £120, with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

DARREN AINSLIE, 36, of Lonsdale Street, Middlesbrough, admitted to having cannabis and a cannabis plant, and to carrying a blade in a public place. He was given a rehabilitation order to attend appointments with an officer, and his cannabis and lock knife were seized. He was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

BRYAN HORNER, 64, of Durham Road, Middlesbrough, admitted to driving without due care and attention. He was fined £266, with a £34 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

KEENAN JEFFREY, 21, of Burwell Road, Middlesbrough, admitted to assaulting a woman by beating her. He has been given a restraining order and fined £535, with a £54 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

MICHAEL THOMAS MARSH, 38, of Bruce Avenue, Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough, admitted to stealing a drill from B&Q, South Bank. He was given a drug rehabilitation order, and must pay a £95 victim surcharge.

REBECCA WAHAB, 24, of Penrhyn Street, Hartlepool, admitted to stealing £60 worth of Toberlone from Spar. She also admitted to assaulting two police officers while they tried to do their duty. She was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. She was ordered to pay £100 compensation.

SHAUN MOTSON, 41, of Fernwood, Coulby Newham, admitted damaging a woman’s furniture in Redcar and being in possession of a Class A drug, diamorphine/heroin. He was fined £323 plus a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. He was also given a three-month conditional discharge.

MICHAEL BEATTIE, 37, of Longhirst, Coulby Newham, admitted possession of a Class B drug, cannabis. He was fined £120 plus a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

DARREN MALCOLM COOPER, 41, of Bow Street, Middlesbrough, admitted possession of Class A and B drugs. He was ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and placed on a 12-month community order.

JAKE DISMORE, 25, of Gala Close, Hartlepool, admitted taking a BMW M4 car without insurance, without the owner’s consent and damaged it. He was given a 12-month community order with 60-hours unpaid work, disqualified from driving for 12-months and told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
