POLICE in Peterlee took action against more than a dozen youngsters who breached coronavirus restrictions at the weekend.
The Neighbourhood Police Team sent a total of 15 warning letters to parents after their children were found breaching Covid-19 guidelines in Peterlee and the surrounding villages.
Four adults were also issued with Fixed Penalty Notices for breaching the current Covid-19 rules.
Over the weekend, officers also seized two quad bikes in the Wingate area as part of Operation Endurance which aims to tackle nuisance off-road bikes.
