SNOW is wreaking havoc on North-East and North Yorkshire roads today, causing severe delays across the board and making existing traffic problems worse.
A yellow weather warning for ice in all parts of the North-East and North Yorkshire has been in place since Thursday after an expected fall in temperatures paired with rain.

The Met Office is warning that injuries are likely due to icy surfaces, while some transport may be disturbed.
Drivers on roads in County Durham, Darlington and Northallerton have been affected.
Here is a list of issues on the road this morning, caused or made worse by snow:
Very slow traffic on A6072 Southbound from B6282 to B6444 Heighington Lane. Travel time is between 10 and 15 minute. Snow is not helping - first reported 7.59am.
Severe delays of 15 minutes on A6072 Northbound between A6072 and Shildon Road. Average speed five mph - first reported 7.59am.
Severe delays of ten minutes and delays increasing on Shildon Road Southbound between A6072 and A68 West Auckland Road (Swan House Roundabout). Average speed 15 mph - - first reported 7.09am.
Very slow traffic on A167 Northbound from West Chilton Terrace to A688 (Thinford roundabout). Travel time is between 20 and 25 minute. Not helped by the snow.
Delays of three minutes on North Road Southbound between A167 Great North Road and A167 Victoria Road. Average speed 20 mph - first reported at 7.56am.
Slow traffic due to snow on A684 Stokesley Road between A19 and The Village Inn. Affecting traffic around Northallerton - first reported at 7.43am
Severe delays of twelve minutes on A693 High Street Westbound between Greens Bank and Cemetery Road. Average speed ten mph - first reported 7.59am.
Snow on A693 Chester Road around Stanley - first reported 7.39am.
