A NORTH-EAST KFC has been thrown into the spotlight after appearing in a Channel 4 documentary revealing how the fast-food chain really operates.
The chicken chain's latest drive-thru restaurant in Peterlee has featured in the documentary, Inside KFC at Christmas.
The one-hour long documentary shows the KFC on Clifton Square in its final stages before the grand opening earlier this month.

Featuring Katie Lewis, the manager of KFC Peterlee, the Channel 4 film crew watch how the store manages to finally open despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Viewers are also shown how 23-year-old Stacey, who was fighting to find a job after being made redundant earlier this year, wins store bosses round.
KFC Peterlee's appearance comes as another North-East store featured in Channel 4's Inside Poundland documentary earlier this month.
