A VIDEO showing how Teesside Airport will look after a major refurbishment has been revealed - and it shows just how different the terminal building will be.
A fly-through video has been made available for the first time showing how mothballed parts of the airport will be transformed by April next year.
It comes as The Northern Echo earlier this month heard how the airport would incorporate a wave of new shops, bars and even a restaurant as part of plans.

The multi-million pound refurbishment, which is understood to be the first major refit in more than 15 years, will include a family-friendly zone and two new lounges.
A number of new roles are also expected to be created with the addition of new features within the terminal building, with a recruitment drive set in January.

Hannah Mohammed, Retail and Commercial Manager at Teesside Airport, said: “When I first came through the airport doors, when it was serving nearly one million passengers, it was bustling.
"But then I saw the walls go up on the check-in desks as fewer and fewer people were coming through.
“Despite this, my passion, goals and vision for the airport has never changed and I’m delighted I’m still here to see the walls come back down, areas being brought back to life and a new food, drink and duty free being brought to the airport.
"I know this is the start of something fantastic so people’s holidays can start the second they step into the terminal.”
Last month, the airport confirmed it had struck a seven-year deal with Ryanair to provide flights between Teesside and Europe.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “These great visuals are giving us an early snapshot into an airport on the up.
"They aren’t images of some distant future, work is going ahead now and is due to be complete in mere months, in plenty of time to welcome the passengers that will flood through our terminal for our exciting, expanded summer 2021 holiday flights.
“New food and drink areas will give people even more choice and when grabbing a bite to eat before their plane, and they’ll be able to relax in comfort in our refurbished lounges.
"As well as bringing in extra check-in desks, we’re bringing back something every airport worth its salt has – a duty free zone.
“We’re expecting 2021, the airport’s 80th anniversary year, to be the biggest and best in a long time as we begin to see the results of the coronavirus vaccine and people book holidays they’ve been looking forward to for months."
Mr Houchen said throughout the refurbishment programme, the airport has been supporting local firms to help develop the terminal building.
"This latest work is no different and in the coming weeks we’ll be revealing more information about they can get involved," he added.
