JUST one area of Darlington saw an increase of Covid case numbers, weekly data on positive cases reveals.
The figures, released yesterday, show the number of cases in Darlington has fallen to 204, reflecting the town's falling infection rate towards the end of national lockdown.
This is a decrease of 67, or 24.7 per cent, giving Darlington a rolling rate of 191.
The area with the highest number of cases was Bank Top with 21, followed by Haughton Le Skerne with 19 cases and then by Faverdale, Heighington & Sadberge with 18.
Pierremont and Rise Carr both had the lowest number of cases, with 7 and 8 respectively, which was the same last week.
The Public Health England data looks at lab-confirmed cases by 'Middle Super Output Area (MSOA)', a statistical unit used in the reporting of small area statistics, with specimen dates in the seven days up to December 4.
Figures for areas with less than three cases are not revealed to protect people's identities.
