THE following cases were heard at Peterlee and Newton Aycliffe Magistates’ Courts in the last week.

ALAN JOHN BOYD, 35, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after he used threatening, abusive or disorderly words or behaviour during an incident on June 1, of this year, at Spennymoor. The Hall Street, Barnard Castle resident pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge.

KYLE ARRON PEACOCK, of Tenth Street, Horden, was handed a community order after he sent Instagram messages between October 7 and October 20, of this year, in breach of a restraining order. The 22-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay £95 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

GLENN FREDERICK SOWERBY , 34, of Hedingley Crescent, Darlington, appeared in court accused of threatening to smash a firm’s windows at Darlington on January 28, of this year. He pleaded guilty and was given a community order and made to pay a £90 victim surcharge.

ANNASTASIA WADE of Spring Hill, Darlington, was ordered to pay £50 compensation after she assaulted a police officer on September 10, 2020. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty.

CHARLENE KIMBERLEY CRAIG, 33, of Grange Road, Darlington, was given a community order after she beat a police officer of September 5, of this year. She indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay £50 compensation. On April 2, of this year she beat a woman at HMP Low Newton and was also handed a community order.

JAMES DAVID HEALER appeared in court accused on entering a building as a trespasser and stealing money on August 20, 2020. Healer, 37, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £300 compensation. The Cottage Road, Seaham resident, indicated a plea of guilt.

LEE TASKER, 40, of Eastlea Road, Seaham, was fined £40 after he was caught acting drunk and disorderly at Church Street, Seaham, on September 6, of this year.

SARAH LOUISE BOSLEM, 26, was discharged conditionally for six months after she assaulted a police officer on September 8, of this year at Durham. The North View, Bearpark resident, was ordered to pay £50 compensation.

COREY JAMES RAMPLIN, 21, of Pentland Close, Peterlee, was caught in possession of cannabis on April 13, 2020. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was discharged conditionally and ordered to pay £21 to fund victim services. Ramplin was also ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ANDREW JOSEPH MORGAN, 31, pleaded guilty to harassing a woman between August 30 and October 4, of this year. The court gave the Westfields, Spennymoor resident, a community order and a restraining order banning him from contact. Morgan was made to pay £150 compensation.

BRUCE JOHN PICKLES, 39, of Cragside, Chester-le-Street, beat a police officer on August 16, of this year. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £75 compensation. Pickles was also given a £85 fee by the court.

DANIEL JAMES CROWLEY, of Beechwood Close, Sacriston, beat a woman on August 24, of this year, at Fishburn. The 28-year-old pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £95 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

PAUL ANTHONY PLAYLE was given a 26-week prison sentence suspended for two years. On Wednesday, July 15, the Queensbury Road, Seaham resident assaulted a woman causing actual bodily harm. The 33-year-old was given a restraining order banning him from contacting the woman. He was also made to pay £200 compensation and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ROSS-LEE PRUDHAM, 23, of Byron Street, Peterlee, was discharged conditionally for 18 months after she stole a box of beers and a bottle of champagne from the Co-Op in Easington, on March 14, 2020. Prudham was ordered to pay £20 compensation.

MARTIN ANTHONY REED, 37, was fined £311 after he made a phone call and sent texts on June 19, 2019, which breached a non-molestation order made by Wolverhampton Family Court. The Princess Street, Shildon resident indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge. He was also ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

RYAN MICHAEL HOLDEN, 26, of Stobart Terrace, Fishburn, was given a 26-week consecutive prison sentence after he spoke to a woman on May 27, of this year, despite being prohibited from doing so by a restraining order. He indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay £156 to fund victim services. He also breached the restraining order two months earlier between March 17 and March 23. The court heard he contacted the woman via Facebook Messenger.

EUGENIU RINDICI, 25, of McKenzie Place, Newton Aycliffe, was ordered to pay £400 after being caught in charge of a vehicle whilst over the legal drink drive limit. The incident happened on September 12, 2020. She pleaded guilty and was given ten penalty driving points and made to pay £40 to fund victim services. The court also imposed a £85 fee to the Crown Prosecution Service.
