THERE have been 1,227 new coronavirus cases recorded in the North-East and North Yorkshire since yesterday.
Today (Monday) the total daily cases announced across the UK was 20,890.
A further 102 deaths were recorded within 28 days of a positive test, bringing the total to 44,998.

County Durham: 10,770 was 10,613, an increase of 157
Darlington: 1,836 was 1,801 an increase of 35
Gateshead: 4,430 was 4,309, an increase of 121
Hartlepool: 2,065 was 2,035, an increase of 30
Middlesbrough: 3,209 was 3,149 an increase of 60
Newcastle: 8,146 was 8,039, an increase of 107
North Tyneside: 3,649 was 3,581, an increase of 68
North Yorkshire: 7,047 was 6,873, an increase of 174
Northumberland: 4,885 was 4,802, an increase of 83
Redcar and Cleveland: 2,260 was 2,206, an increase of 54
South Tyneside: 3,375 was 3,336, an increase of 39
Stockton:4,062 was 3,967, an increase of 95
Sunderland: 6,665 was 6,544, an increase of 121
York: 3,397 was 3,314, an increase of 83
Total: 1,227 more cases since yesterday
