Mowden Park Stadium is terrifyingly excited to announce a fang-tastic weekend of Halloween movie magic! From Friday October 30 to Sunday November 1, Daisy Dukes Drive-In Cinema Experience will be arriving in Darlington for a Halloween weekend of socially distanced fun and frights!
Cinemagoers will be treated to a schedule of spooky Halloween screenings ranging from children's daytime favourites, teatime cult classics and late-night thrillers for the not-so faint-hearted.
Daisy Dukes Drive-In Cinema has been touring the country offering a classic big-screen distraction during the lockdown period and the team are now ramping things up for Halloween with the addition of interactive scare actors on the ground to bring the movies to life.
The movie line-up for Darlington is:
Friday 30 October:
HOCUS POCUS, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, SCARY MOVIE and THE EXORCIST.
Saturday 31 October:
CASPER, BEETLEJUICE, SCREAM and IT.
Sunday 1 November:
GHOSTBUSTERS, NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, SHAUN OF THE DEAD and THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.
Operations Manager Kane Ayton says: "Halloween is our favourite time of the year, and we've definitely pulled out all the stops to give the people of York a frightfully fun event!"
“We're teaming up with North East-based scare attraction Scream Factory to unleash a terrifying experience on the grounds of Mowden Park Stadium.
“Children will be greeted by their favourite characters during the day, adults will bump into some of their worst nightmares by evening!"
The company uses some of the largest, hi-spec outdoor screens in the UK and cinema-goers can enjoy these fantastic Halloween classics from the safety and warmth of their own car. Audio is transmitted via a specially assigned FM frequency direct to vehicles’ radios.
Throw in some super-secret special effects and Daisy Dukes Halloween Cinema will be the must-do event of the Autumn.
