POLICE are investigating a report of damage caused to the front of a house in Middlesbrough, believed to have been caused by a firearm.
The incident occurred in Cranfield Avenue last night.
Local people reported hearing a loud bang in the street some time between 7pm and 8pm.
No one was in the address at the time and no injuries have been reported by anyone.
Uniformed patrols will continue in the area to provide support and reassurance to the community while inquiries continue.
