POLICE who raided a house following complaints from residents about suspected drugs activity discovered a cannabis farm inside.
Officers from Stanley Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a search warrant at an address on Broomhill, Stanley, this morning after receiving information from the local community.
Approximately 200 cannabis plants were recovered and two people were arrested for production of cannabis.
Temporary Sergeant Gary Smith said “We received a number of complaints from the local community and we acted on this and were able to remove a large amount of cannabis which was destined for our streets.
"We continue to work in the Stanley community tackling organised crime and making Stanley a safer place to live.”
