A FURTHER 15 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals across the North-East and North Yorkshire, NHS England have confirmed. 

On Monday afternoon latest figures revealed that a further 204 people across England had died in hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19.

In the North-East and North Yorkshire, a total of 1,292 people have died after they tested positive for the virus. 

A spokesperson for NHS England said: "A further 204 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 21,384.

"Patients were aged between 26 and 101 years old. 3 of the 204 patients (aged between 41 and 58 years old) had no known underlying health condition. Their families have been informed."

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust - 81 was 79

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 185 was 180

South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust – 279 was 277

Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 95 

York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 140 was 135

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust – 49 was 48

Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (mental health) - 5
