A RIDING centre is hosting its second National Unicorn Day next month.

The Riding for the Disabled Association’s Unicorn Centre, based in Hemlington, will be holding its second National Unicorn Day party on Thursday, April 9.

Visitors are invited to come along to look around the Centre, meet lots of unicorns, and take part in unicorn-themed activities and fundraising events.

Children will be able to ride a 'unicorn' pony in a magical unicorn decorated arena, and there will be free crafts, unicorn activities, raffle, tombolas, unicorn merchandise on sale and lots of unicorn cakes and refreshments on offer.

This year there will be knights and dragons as well as unicorns to entertain all the family.

Centre Manager Claire Pitt said: “Everyone is always looking for things to do in the Easter Holidays, and judging by the amazing response we had last year, we will be very busy at this year’s party.

“We hope lots of old friends, and first time visitors who will become friends, will join us for the party. And with the added attraction of knights and dragons, so we hope the whole family will have a great time too.”

The Party will be running from 10am to 3pm, and entry is free.

Unicorn pony rides for children five-years-old and over will be £5 each and should be pre-booked.

There will also be a baby unicorn for children to pat and groom for a fee.

The Unicorn Centre is based in Stainton Way, Hemlington next to the Cleveland Community Safety Hub.
