POLICE have now arrested a fifth teenager in connection an incident at McDonalds on Linthorpe Road which left a teenager with a stomach laceration.
The fracas happened yesterday evening and left a 17-year-old needing hospital treatment.
Four teenagers were initially arrested and Cleveland Police say they have now arrested a fifth person in connection to the incident.
Officers were first called to a report of a disturbance at the McDonald's on Wednesday evening at around 5.30pm.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said today: "A fifth person aged 17 has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in custody.
"The three males and female aged between 16 and 18 who were arrested on suspicion of affray still remain in custody - one of the males has also been arrested on suspicion with wounding with intent in addition to affray.
"The 17-year-old male who was injured as a result of the incident remains in hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
"Officers will continue to patrol this area of Middlesbrough and would ask anyone who has not spoken with police already who witnessed the incident to contact police on 101 quoting 039775."
