THE heartbroken family of a man who was allegedly stabbed to death in the street are calling on witnesses to come forward.
John Wright was discovered fatally injured on Parliament Street just after 1pm on Sunday, December 29.
Floral tributes, pictured below, have been placed at the scene and some of his relatives have visited the area to pay their respects.
His sisters, Jackie and Debbie, urged members of the public to come forward with any information to help the police.
They said: "We only buried our mother two weeks ago and now we are having to come to terms with this.
"No one deserves to die like that, absolutely no one.
"We would urge anyone with information to come forward, we don't really no what has happened to our brother because the police can't say at the minute, but please come forward with anything that could help us."
Cleveland Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses following the alleged murder.
Officers are urging witnesses or anyone who has private CCTV/dash cam footage of the area/ time of the incident to please come forward.
Any further information and footage provided to officers could help them with their ongoing investigation.

- Jordan Vaughan, 20, of Harlow Crescent, Thornaby , and Kienan Johnson, 21, of Windsor Road, Stockton, have each been charged with the murder of the 41-year-old.
