DARLINGTON'S new-look Post Office - along with an M&S food outlet - opened following a revamp of the town's WHSmith store this morning.
The former Crown Street post office has closed and moved into WHSmith within the Cornmill Centre.
At the same time, M&S has opened a Simply Food outlet within the same shop.
Shoppers will be able to buy food during the lunchtime rush but also deli items, sweet treats and a selection of M&S meals for customers to enjoy at home.
Bakery products and fresh flowers will also be on offer in the store, for those using post office facilities or buying stationery from WHSmith.
The grab-and-go range of food within the store brings M&S food back into the centre of Darlington, after the closure of the main Marks and Spencer shop on Northgate last year.
