A MAN has been interviewed following the discovery of cannabis and what is believed to be class A drugs in Richmond.
The man was questioned at Richmond police station on suspicion of possession with intent to supply the cannabis and possession of class A drugs.
It follows a raid on a property in Temple Court, off Bargate, in Richmond, today.
The drugs were located by police sniffer dog Meg.
Inspector Mark Gee, from Richmondshire police, said police were taking a “zero tolerance” approach to drug dealing in the town.
He added: “I don’t want to see the same issues of county lines drug dealing that other towns in North Yorkshire have and we will be taking the strongest of action even on those operating on a local level.
“I would urge anyone with information on drug dealing in their community to get in touch.”
