A MAN responsible for unprovoked pub violence was told he is facing a likely prison sentence.
The warning was given to Lee Wallace after he admitted assaulting a man causing actual bodily harm in The Legion, in Horden, between May 3 and 6, last year.
Durham Crown Court heard that more than a year since the attack the victim still suffers discomfort from eye and facial injuries suffered at Wallace’s hands.
The 30-year-old defendant, of Matterdale Road, Peterlee, will be sentenced after preparation of a background Probation Service report.
Bailing him until August 12, Judge Jonathan Carroll also advised the hgv agency driver to save some money to pay towards compensation for the victim.
But he said such an unprovoked attack usually merits immediate custody.
