MUSIC, deckchairs and smiling faces returned as a town welcomed its annual Proms in the Park.
The sun was shining in Darlington's South Park yesterday as people turned out in the numbers to enjoy music 'for all ages'.
Every green space was filled picnics and revellers of both young and old as a variety of local groups, bands and schools performed in the park's bandstand.
This year featured performances from The Royal Signals (Northern) Band, 102 Battalion Reme Pipes & Drums and Central & East Yorks Wing ATC Sector 1 Band and guest vocalist John Haigh.
Music included big numbers from films such as The Greatest Showman, Mary Poppins and Where Eagles Dare.
There was also performances from pupils from schools including the Federation of Mowden Schools, Reid Street Primary School, St Augustine’s RC Primary School and High Coniscliffe CofE Primary School - representing Darlington Schools Eurovision Choir.
