THE driver of a BMW who died in a crash earlier this week has been named as Zachary Archibald.
The 20-year-old, from Sleights, near Whitby, died following an accident on the A171 near Guisborough on Wednesday when a silver BMW 1 series and a heavy goods vehicle collided.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "Sadly, Zachary, who had been driving the BMW, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Zachary’s devastated family have asked for privacy as they try to come to terms with his death and our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time."
- Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 107014.
