A MAN who died after being found seriously injured at a house in Middlesbrough has been named.
John Lewis, 32, was discovered after police were called to an address in Crescent Road just after 7.30pm, on Tuesday, May 14.
He later died at the town's James Cook University Hospital.
Cleveland Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as the death followed police contact.
Jonathan Porritt, 28, appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with Mr Lewis’ murder.
