POLICE searching for a missing man have found a body.
Northumbria Police issued a short update at 3.26am on Wednesday following an earlier request for information, stating: “Further to our appeal to trace Ewan Brown, of Spittal Tongues, Newcastle, we are sorry to report that the body of a man has been located.
“Formal identification has yet to take place. However, police do believe the male to be Ewan.
“There is not believed to have been any third-party involvement and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
“Ewan’s family have been informed and police are supporting them during this difficult time.”
The original appeal for help to trace 27-year-old Mr Brown was issued at 2.06pm on Tuesday, stating that the last reported sighting of him was in the Heaton area, of Newcastle, at 8.40am, on Monday April 29.
He was also said to have frequented the Jesmond Dene area of Newcastle.
