EMERGENCY SERVICES: A man and woman are believed to be injured following a crash in Newton Aycliffe
POLICE have confirmed a man injured in a car crash has died.
Both people suffered critical injuries following the car accident which involved a black Volkswagen T-Roc.
The vehicle was travelling from School Aycliffe towards Horndale Avenue.
On reaching the mini roundabout junction, the vehicle continued straight over the junction and collided with a tree just after 9.35am.
Emergency services attended the scene including two Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) helicopters.
