Second Division Stokesley, despite giving their all, were no match for four times League Cup Winners NASA U15's. NASA had a little bit more quality when it counted and controlled most of the game. Stokesley had a little spell when they equalised after Tom Booth had given Ancients the lead but once NASA got into their stride the result was a formality. A hat trick from the ever impressive Tom Booth two from Adi Nicholson and further strikes from John Allison, Ben Turner and Tom Hinchley put the tie beyond Stokesley. Norton 8 Stokesley 1 Norton 11B's played Stockton Town in a re-arranged fixture and were hopeful of re-capturing the form from the previous Sunday unfortunately it just wasn't to be and Norton laboured through the first half. Norton took the lead with an early goal when Danny Watson squared the ball to Jamie Graham who hit the ball low and hard into the bottom corner from the edge of the box, Norton also won a penalty when the town keeper saved and the rebound was hit by tom wing for Norton, the ball was flying into the back of the net when a town player dived full stretch and saved in spectacular style just a shame the keeper was still getting up from his initial save with the refs whistle blowing for a penalty leniency was show and the town player escaped his name being taken and stayed on the pitch Norton saw the penalty saved and created some chances but never looked sharp in front of goal, late on a failed clearance and a goal line scramble saw town equalise with half time arriving a disgruntled Norton took to the centre circle. Stern words were spoken then positives shown and instead of dwelling the Norton team took the ball and worked on their passing re kindling the team spirit. The second half kicked off and Norton looked more confident passing the ball forcing town into chasing Norton and within 5 minutes Norton won a free kick, Jamie Graham hit the ball with great accuracy into the top right giving the keeper no chance Norton capitalised on their lead when Jordan Ormerod poked a deflected shot home just showing right place right time and a good reading of the game is important. Tom Wing soon added to Town's misery when he flicked the ball past the defender and went on a surging run racing towards the box the town keeper closed down and tom wing slotted the ball into the bottom right with a cool finish. In the second half Stockton town never threatened the Norton goal and were forced to hit speculative efforts the Norton keeper dealt with ease Norton's defence of Callum Musgrove, Lucas Connor, Kieran Anderson and Josh Nertney played well Josh made way for Danny Peart to drop from midfield into defence and Qadeer Khan came into the middle to work with David Cooper holding up the play and feeding the ball with 10 minutes to go Norton brought on Tom Kelly and shut up shop not letting town get the ball any were near Norton's box the final play by Norton saw tom wing play a weighted ball over the defence Danny Watson ran onto the ball and finished in his usual style the game ended 5-1 to Norton. Norton had to revert to basics and time dig deep and get stuck in until Norton took hold of the game then Norton started to show the class and quality.
