The MetroCentre in Gateshead is celebrating the Centre's official 21st birthday with a Free Firework Display on Sunday at 7pm.
The Centre attracts 24 million visitors annually and is a major employer in the region with a workforce of more than 7,000.
Events start from 6pm with fireworks beginning at 7pm in the Coach Park.
There will be 2,100 fireworks, in a display lasting 21 minutes, and with the most nostalgic music of the last 21 years.
The MetroGnomes will be on the malls to entertain children in the lead up to the fireworks with two shows taking place in Town Square next to House of Fraser at 2pm and 4pm.
