SCHOOL pupils did a workout that has given a £1,000 boost to a charity that helps children.
Youngsters from all year groups at Kelloe Primary School took part in the event, last month, with some classes doing jumps, some skips and others laps.
The 140 youngsters who took part gathered sponsorship for their efforts, in aid of the NSPCC.
Christine Danby, the NSPCC's schools organiser, said: "They raised £1,000, which is a huge amount. They had fun doing it - having fun and helping other children. It was a very good effort.''
