The stolen car which was found in the River Skerne in Darlington's South Park
A STOLEN Ford Fiesta had to be recovered from the River Skerne after being abandoned by thief.
Police were called shortly after midnight on Sunday, February 17 to a car found abandoned in South Park, near the Victoria Embankment entrance, in Darlington.

A Durham Police spokeswoman said: "The blue Ford Fiesta had been stolen from outside a property on Clifton Road the previous day.
"The driver was not on scene when officers arrived, but the keys had been left with the car.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible."
- Anyone with any information should call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 82 of February 17.
