YOUNG and old came together for a day of entertainment and learning in Northallerton.
The town's library held a family learning day on Saturday with a range of free activities.
Tutors ran sessions on a variety of themes, including internet shopping, how to trace your family tree, basket weaving and dancing.
For children, there was the chance to have a close encounter with mini-exotic beasts and to learn how to draw self-portraits.
