A STORYTIME featuring the tales of popular children's writer Dr Seuss was held over the weekend, in Durham.
The escapades of the Grinch and Cat in the Hat were among 44 children's books that Seuss wrote and illustrated.
The free event, at Durham County Council's Clayport Library, on Saturday, was a forerunner to the musical Seussical, to be performed by Spennymoor Youth Theatre Group later this month at the Gala Theatre. It also saw the launch of a colouring competition with the theatre group, with prizes of tickets to the performance.
Dr Seuss stories have been adapted for films and Seussical was a 2001 Broadway musical.
