A CRICKET pavilion has been badly damaged by two arson attacks in the space of an hour.
Firefighters were first called to the building, on Oriel Crescent, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, at 8.48pm on Saturday.
When they arrived they found a fire had been started in the changing rooms, causing only slight damage.
An hour later crews received a second call to the same building. The back of the pavilion was on fire and by the time it was extinguished, the building had suffered 75 per cent fire damage.
A spokesman for North York Fire and Rescue said the two fires were separate, but both are believed to have been started deliberately.
