Everyone's favorite Plummer is back this time on the Wii with Super Paper Mario. Bringing a mixture of 2D & 3D platforming with a hint of RPG gameplay, Mario must defeat the evil Count Bleck and stop his attempts of world domination.

So is it any good?

If you're the sort of person who enjoys reading through never ending sections of text, then yes it's great. As it has so much text to read you will think your reading a book instead of playing a video game. In-between all the text you do get a chance to play a game that is typically Nintendo cute in the graphics department and I'm sure the younger gamer will initially jump for joy at the games looks, it's just all that text will soon destroy any initial excitement.

Gameplay wise it's not bad!

For those of you familiar with 2D Mario platformers it's all very familiar but with a quick press of the A button it all goes 3D revealing hidden secrets, doorways and different paths to take on your journey. For most of the game you hold the Wii remote sideways like a traditional control pad except on occasions when you get to control a sidekick (Pixl), here you use your Wii remote like a torch to reveal hidden objects. While it's not the most challenging game you will play it did bring a smile to my face on a number of occasions but that soon disappeared when the text returned to spoil my enjoyment and it left me feeling very frustrated overall.

Come on Nintendo I need Super Mario Galaxy now more than ever!
