A RIBBON tribute is planned on Tuesday night in memory of Luke Jobson, the young man who disappeared after a night out at the weekend.
People are planning to gather at Yarm Wharf, behind Sainsbury's in the Teesside town, to create 'Ribbons for Luke' between 7pm and 8pm.
Luke, 22, has been missing since Friday since on a night out in Yarm.
On Monday, police found a body in the River Tees - it was confirmed on Tuesday morning as Luke.
The ribbons tribute is being organised on Facebook.
People are being asked to buy length of ribbon long enough to tie to the railings and attach a message for Luke and his family.
Organisers said: "This is designed to hopefully create a poignant tribute to Luke by filling the hand rails of multi coloured ribbons and your messages.
"Simply come and go as you feel, but please take a moment to think of Luke.
"Please, share this event far and wide and show that as a community we care, and are thinking of Luke and his family and friends at this difficult time."
