A DAD'S Army tribute has been postponed - just two days before it was due to be staged.
Josie Collins, who was organising the convention, said she had taken the step because of the postal strike and other reasons.
It was due to take place at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, on Saturday and Sunday.
Instead Mrs Collins said it had been put on hold for about six weeks.
She and fellow organisers had signed up actors Frank Williams, who played the vicar, Scott Frederick, and Ian Lavender, who played Pike.
The Durham Light Infantry Museum were due to send members dressed as the cast from Dad's Army and military vehicles from the Forties.
Actors who had featured in Robots of Death, a famous Dr Who story, an Elvis impersonator and Dean Wilkinson, who wrote gags for Timmy Mallett and Ant and Dec were also due to perform.
