A LORRY driver from Bishop Auckland has been involved in a crash in which a 20-year-old man died.
At around 3.40pm on Tuesday, police officers were called to reports of a serious collision on Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, Cheshire.
It involved a white lorry and a black Yamaha motorcycle near to the Causeway Avenue junction.
The rider of the motorcycle - a 20-year-old man from Latchford - died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the lorry - a 69-year-old man from Bishop Auckland - was uninjured.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
