Newblood Live is a live music event held at The Forum, Borough Road, Darlington, for young people aged 14-17, featuring the best in local unsigned talented groups and artists.

Since it's inception in April 2007 Newblood Live has had over 200 young people attend and over 20 bands and artists playing live at the forum.

The initial idea came from Ashleigh Trevarrow (MYP for Darlington) as part of her manifesto to provide a town centre provision for young people. The idea has certainly hit the right note with many young people, with a membership and increased interest in performing from bands as far off as Sunderland and Redcar.

Newblood Live will be looking to develop into a sustainable music event through 2007/08 with a steering group being developed by and more local and regional bands given the opportunity to take to the stage and perform.

Newblood Live held an outdoor music festival in August 07 highlights from the festival include Local favourites The Felons and female duo belladonna. Check out the gigs page for the low-down from the Festival.
