STUDENTS are set to see in the New Year in style as they make a radio airwave takeover.
The level three media students from East Durham College will see out 2018 and usher in the New Year on Hartlepool Radio, hosting a three-hour show, from 10pm on Monday.
PartyZone, will include a mix of chat and music from the student DJs.
Media lecturer Suzi Martin said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to get a real taste of radio.
“They already get great experience of radio production during their course, but for Hartlepool Radio to give them work experience like this, too, will benefit them in the future hunt for jobs in the media industry.”
The college regularly works with local stations across the North-East, to give students a taste of media life.
