POLICE have reported that a teenage girl, whose disappearance from home raised safety fears, has since been found safe and well.
Concerns grew for the safety of the 15-year-old, who was said to have left a children’s home in South Hetton, on the County Durham side of the boundary with Sunderland, at about 10.45pm on Thursday, December 27.
An appeal as to her whereabouts was put out by Durham Police in the early hours.
Shortly after 4pm on Friday, Durham Police confirmed that she had been found and was described as, “safe and well”.
