Once again Bramham Park, Leeds, was populated by tens of thousands of young music fans. Leeds Festival kicked of on the Friday with a bill of different styles of music and very different standards of performances.
Friday started out as a hot day, and it was about to get hotter. On the main stage Gym Class heroes launched into their new release "Clothes Off" followed by a great set of modern rap.
Elsewhere on the NME Stage surrounded by synths and glow sticks Hadouken! Were to prove a disappointment, along with many more.
Back at the main stage the crowd synchronised danced to power pop superstars Hellogoodbye who played an excellent set ending with everyone's favourite "here In Your Arms".
Around noon the atmosphere was sun drenched, and Funeral For A Friend brightened the day up even more with their own "Never Mind Reading Here's Leeds" T-shirts. Even with the sun beating down on the crowd Funeral For A Friend still got everyone in the Mosh-Pit moving with a passion.
Around 6:30 Lostprophets stole the stage, Front man Ian Watkins kicked off with "Can't Catch Tomorrow", with the bands razor sharp riffs and thundering rhythms everyone in the park was dancing.
As the sun started to go down New Found Glory situated at the Lock Up Stage pulled out all the stops for their headlining slot. They were without doubt worth waiting for!
