AN expanded day nursery at Bedale has gone from strength to strength during 18 months of success for staff and children.
The Incy Wincy's nursery was praised as outstanding when it was inspected by education watchdog Ofsted. It has also been awarded the status of highly effective setting by North Yorkshire County Council.
The nursery moved in June, expanding from 28 to 58 registered places, and is now based at Amen House, in North End.
The second phase of its expansion is now complete, with a new out-of-school club The Web that has places for 30 youngsters.
The club provides before and after-school care and holiday provision for children aged from four 14 in a building next to Amen House.
Katie Hockey, a qualified teacher and joint owner of the nursery and The Web, has also received confirmation from Sunderland University that she has attained her early years professional status, a course for practitioners aimed at raising the quality of early years provision.
