A PLAN for improvements to a neglected grass verge in Dene Valley will go on display on Friday.
Residents are invited to view the proposals to tidy up a grassed area at the end of Brook Street, between Coundon Grange and Close House.
Groundwork West Durham and Darlington will be presenting the plan at the One Stop Shop, in Eldon Lane, between 11am and 1pm.
Part of the land will be developed as an area of relaxation, which children from Prince Bishop Primary School's after-school art club have helped design.
The scheme is supported by Groundwork's Liveability funding, which is making areas cleaner, greener and safer.
Joanne Morley, project officer for Groundwork, said: "The area of land we intend to improve is currently overgrown and looks unwelcoming, but it has the potential to be a very attractive area.
"We hope people from Dene Valley will come along to view our plan for improvement and help us realise the potential of the area."
