FUN with fungi is promised at the fifth Mushroom Magic day at a botanical garden.
The event at Harlow Carr Gardens, in Harrogate, on Sunday, involves specialists from the Mid Yorkshire Fungus Group.
Activities run from 10am to 4pm and include identification sessions, when visitors can take along a fungi sample, family games, craft sessions and displays of edible mushrooms gathered from the gardens and provided by Waitrose supermarkets.
Metalwork mushroom sculptures by local artist Stanger Moore will be on display and Birstall Woodturning Club will provide demonstrations of their craft.
The British Mycological Society will be taking its fungi display roadshow, which appears at major gardening events and shows.
Admission is £6 for adults, £2 for children and free to under-sixes and Royal Horticultural Society members.
