HOSPITALS and health support groups can apply for a grant from the Co-op.
The Co-operative Pharmacy is giving away grants totalling up to £20,000.
Local hospitals, or specific wards, hospices and groups working to promote better health in the North-East, can apply for a cash award of between £100 and £2,000.
Application forms are available in local Co-operative Pharmacy branches.
Frank Woods, regional manager with the Co-operative Pharmacy, said: "We are looking for applicants whose work addresses the needs of local people, and for whom such a grant would make a real difference.
"It is a wonderful opportunity.''
The closing date for applications is Friday, October 26.
Details are available from Co-operative Pharmacy branches.
