A FAST food restaurant has been closed after a car ended up on its roof.
McDonald's at Abraham Enterprise Park in St Helen Auckland, near Bishop Auckland, is currently without power following the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A car came to rest upside down after an crash in the 'drive-thru' section of the American chain.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: "We can confirm that an incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
"The store is currently closed due to a lack of power and we are supporting the police in their investigation."
It is not known if anyone was injured in the collision.
Durham Constabulary has not responded to requests from the Northern Echo for further details.
