A CAFE will throw open its doors to welcome anyone in need this Christmas Day.
The annual event, now in its third year, will see the team at Mangobean serve refreshments to the homeless and anyone else in need of company between noon and 2pm.
A spokesman for the cafe, which is based at the Feethams leisure complex, recently appealed for donations and said: "Whether it's some food for the day or just a word of support, please do not hesitate to pop into our store.
"We want to invite anyone who's homeless or just anyone who's having a tough time through Christmas to come to Mangobean and have a meal and hot drink on us."
Volunteers are also needed to lend a hand prior to and at the festive event, with a meeting arranged at the cafe to discuss opportunities from 1pm on Sunday, November 25.
The purpose of the meeting will be to assign tasks and prepare for a busy build-up to the event.
Anyone who would like to assist is welcome to attend the meeting or speak to staff.
