A 69-YEAR-OLD man had to be cut free from his car following a collision with three other vehicles in Hartlepool.
His car overturned in the accident, at about 7.40pm on Sunday, in Marlowe Road.
The silver Vauxhall Corsa was travelling towards Macefield Road when it was involved in a crash with an oncoming Skoda Octavia, and then with a blue Nissan Micra and a silver Vauxhall Vectra, which were both stationary.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "The Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with the offside of a car and then collided with two stationary vehicles before flipping onto its roof."
The man suffered a broken collar bone and minor cuts and was taken to hospital.
