ONE of Darlington's oldest residents has died aged 105.
Former housekeeper Dorothy Hoyland died peacefully on September 19.
Born in 1902, in Penistone, South Yorkshire, she came to the area after the Second World War, moving to Barton in 1946 to work as a housekeeper for Martin and Mary Hall.
In 1990, Miss Hoyland, along with Mr and Mrs Hall, moved to Stanton Hall Care Home, Trinity Road, Darlington, where she died.
