League Cup.
UNDER 12s 9 - 1 Brinkburn Goalscorer(s):Josh Ward (6)Niall Hanratty ,Luke Kershaw ,Callum Sweeten MOM:Josh Ward report; Allstars sponsored By Carlbury Hall ,were away at Harlepool nuclear power station for this league cup match and came out' fully charged' from the start!
A quick ball out to the right found Robert West who went on a surging run before squaring the ball across the face of goal for striker Josh ward to slam in Allstars first goal on two minutes.
Allstars broke again from midfield, with luke Kershaws headed ball finding Josh Ward once again to make it 0-2 with only 4 minutes played.
With a fierce wind to assist them Allstars were practically camped in the Brinkburn half of the field, with our midfield and forwards taking shot after shot at the Brinkburn goal.
A fine ball from Callum Sweeten again found the hungry boot of Ward who powered in his 3rd goal from distance.0-3 With such one-way traffic it was inevitable more goals would be forthcoming, we didn't have to wait long. A fine strike by Luke Kershaw made it 0-4, before another good ball From Sweeten found Ward again who made it 0-5 on the stroke of half time.
The stars came out for the second half with the wind strongly against them, but very soon carried on where they left off in the first period..
Our defenders were rarely troubled and coped with any threats in a measured and controlled manner, getting the ball quickly back to our squadron of attacking mosquito's!
A good ball from Niall Hanratty found Ward who fired across the face of goal for Callum Sweeten to hammer in our sixth goal. Ward again turned provider a few minutes later, setting up Hanratty for Allstars seventh goal. A slick piece of play found us with three attackers racing upfield leaving the Brinkburn keeper stranded, to see the on-fire Ward to knock in number 8.
Brinkburn somehow managed to get the ball into the Allstars box and scrambled the ball over the line for a late consolation goal, (well deserved for not letting their heads drop) A shot from Mackis Vakhoss hit the bar before rebounding out to Ward who coolly headed past the hapless keeper. Final score 1-9 to Allstars.
A fantastic performance by the entire team today, with fine balls over from West, and Upton to name but a few. Credit to the Allstars for the professional way in which they played the game today, and the sporting way they gave Brinkburn a cheer at the final whistle.
Well done lads!!!
Under 10 Colts 3 - 2 Mount Pleasant A GOALSCORERS:Caleb Padurariu ,Chris Jary ,Kieran Stannard M.O.M:Angus Ferguson Report; "Absolutely awesome"....not my words but what I heard from the touchline as the Under 10 Colts put in their best ever team performance with excellent passing, movement and determination. Within 5 minutes Allstars were ahead from a Caleb Padurariu penalty and it could have been more with shots flying off and over the crossbar. Mount Pleasant did manage to equalise just before half time but the second half saw the ball being switched from one wing to the other with ease and Chris Jary scoring with a header. Mount Pleasant came back again with a scrambled goal but only an Allstars win was the deserved result with Kieran Stannard doing the business. Angus Ferguson was Man of the Match for his overall contribution to the game.
The second game was a close affair despite Allstars losing out 2-0 with strong performances from Sam Boulton and Matthew Bell in defence, Nathan Finlay and Man of the Match Jonathan Abbott - helping out up front and in defence when required. Just need more confidence in and around the box to make more of the chances which were created. Well done to all the lads for their superb team effort.
Allstars u11's 2 - 3 Brinkburn Scott Pattison 2 goals Mom was shared by James Young & Scott Pattison Report; A very scrappy game from the off but Brinkburn scored the early goal and Allstars heads went down. Allstars had chances but they where not put away and Brinkburn scored again.
After half time Allstars where second to every ball and things didnt get better as Brinkburn scored again to make it 3-0.
James Young pulled some great saves to keep the score down then the game started to get more open and there were a couple of good runs and pleanty of shots wide but then a good move 5 minutes from time started from the defence by Alex Grocott and then to Scott Pattison who slotted the ball passed the keeper Allstars picked up there game and started playing football. Scott Pattison made a break from midfield to made a solo run and score another excellent goal.
Allstars put pressure on Brinkburns defence and came close to levelling the match but time was against us and the final whistle went.
Not a good Allstars performance but there was some glimpses of have we know the boys can play Under 15 Colts 2 - 2 Bedale Goalscorers;Grieves2 M.o.m;Tom Robson.
Report; The under 15 Colts travelled to Bedale and were left rueing a number of referreing decisions. The home side took the lead but when James Collins free kick was parried by the keeper Jordan Grieves followed up to score and he soon added a second to put the Colts 2-1 up. The referee sent off Richard Howe and despite playing with 10 men for almost 60 minutes the Colts looked comfortable until the referee awarded the home team a penalty to make it 2-2. The Colts still looked the better team and late on Man Of The Match Tom Robson was inches away from winning the game.

Allstars then took the game by the scruff of the neck and midway through the half, right back Zach Fluen got the ball outside his own box ran the length of the pitch outrunning Geatham players and showing great strength cut inside and fired passed the keeper,4-1.Greatham piled forward to try and get back into the game and from a corner pulled one back. From then on Allstars were in control against a strong Greatham team, and seen out the game 4.2 winners.

Under 12,s 0 - 7Greatayton M.o.m;Robert Gustard report; A spirited display against a strong Greatayton side , playing some of their best football so far , this brand new side can consider themselves unlucky to be on the wrong end of such a heavy defeat.
Under 8's 2 - 0 Stockton Town Goalscorer;Mconackie M.o.m;Mathew Handley report; Started slowly in the first half , in the second scored two quick goals and the defended for the rest of the game. In the following friendly the Allstars played a little better and the 1- 1 draw was a fair result , with a goal from Jenkinson . m.o.m was Bradley Moncur.
Under 10's 0 - 4 Brinkburn M.o.m;Jordan Worley First half a little poor but with some reshuffling in the second the Allstars played a little better letting in only one goal from a mix up at the back. Allstars had thier moments but shown that things will and are definately improving .
