TWO brothers proved they were a top song and dance act when they won heats of a talent competition while on holiday.
Adam Allinson, 16, and his nine-year-old brother, Elliot, from Middleton Tyas, near Richmond, won prizes in the Robinson's Fruit Shoot H2O Junior Starquest contest at Pontin's holiday centre in Blackpool, Lancashire.
Adam and Danielle Simkin, from Staffordshire, impressed the judges with a dance routine to All In This Together, from the show High School Musical. They received medals, certificates and cameras, and will compete in the finals in North Wales in December, where prizes include karaoke machines and a digital camera.
Elliot qualified for the finals by singing Electricity, from the stage show Billy Elliott.
Adam and Danielle met on holiday and put together their winning routine in a few days. Adam has appeared in West Side Story and Fame, and is a member of the Billy Elliott boys' dance school.
Elliot is a member of the Stagecoach stage school, where he won best actor and best solo singer awards, and has appeared in Oliver and Joseph.
